The Highland games of the Scottish clans are meeting at Grandfather Mountain for the 54th time. I suppose historically I am part of a Kennedy or Woodruff Clan. I don't know. I do know that I appreciate the strong community that is formed by cultural groups. I like the ethnic foods, music, and perspectives of small local culture. If only we could celebrate our differences without conflict.
